Sometimes the Greatest Gift We Can Give Someone Is Our Time

Our seniors have lived through so much. They have stories to tell, wisdom to share, and memories that deserve to be heard. And our young people have something just as special to offer—their energy, their kindness, and their willingness to make someone smile.

That's what Heart-to-Heart Crew is all about.

Through Hearts of Hearts Foundation, we're creating opportunities for young people to connect with seniors in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other approved community settings.

Sometimes it's reading a book together. Sometimes it's playing a game, sharing a story, celebrating a birthday, or simply sitting down and having a conversation. Those moments may seem small, but to someone who feels lonely or forgotten, they can mean everything. And while our young people are bringing joy to others, they're learning lessons that will stay with them for a lifetime. We want them to understand the importance of compassion, patience, respect, responsibility, and giving back to their community.

Heart-to-Heart Crew isn't just about volunteering. It's about raising a generation of young people who understand what it means to care for others.  Young people with documented volunteer service hours and receive recognition for their contributions.

Our hope is that these visits become more than activities on a calendar. We want them to create friendships, meaningful memories, and moments that remind people they are loved and appreciated.

What Will Our Heart-to-Heart Crew Members Do?

As part of our program, youth volunteers will have opportunities to:

Help celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions.
Create handmade cards, thoughtful gifts, and encouraging messages.
Assist with approved activities alongside facility staff.

Participate in leadership, etiquette, mentorship, and communication workshops.
Learn the importance of kindness, teamwork, responsibility, and community service.

What Will Our Youth Gain?

We want our young people to leave this program with more than volunteer hours. We want them to learn the importance of kindness, teamwork, responsibility, and community service.
We want them to walk away with confidence, stronger communication skills, meaningful relationships, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
